Things to know … What age should be screened for cervical cancer?

  • The cervical cancer is a type of cancer, that can be prevented and screened in a variety of ways. All women should be screened to prevent disease and early treatment. However, a common problem for early detection is patient's embarrassment in per-vaginal  examination.
  • The early detection for cervical cancer is Pap Smear, recommended every 3 years. At least once every 3 years. The test may start with age of 21 or older than 3 years after the first sexual intercourse that depending on when they comes first.

      Female reproductive system should be examined annually to screen abnormality. If something goes wrong that can be regular internal examinations will allow us to identify the abnormality early and leads to healing faster.
